when naughty children sleep

12 Oct

like squirrels?

they sleep

soft,

love punctuates the quilt that tucks,

dreams soft on their faces,

their smells comfort.

their Tantrums

paper tissues in the wind.

This is a delight. I love the way you involve the sense of smell. That just put me there with you, enjoy those little ones.

had to think about this one a bit, read it a few times, nice

esp liked the last four lines :

    ***

    dreams soft on their faces,

    their smells comfort.

    their Tantrums

    paper tissues in the wind

    ***

the larger line breaks create nice pauses too 😉

The “Tissues in the wind,” line is so perfect, so visual. If it could come into the minds of harried parents during those tantrums, it would give the patience to survive, perhaps even smile.
